By accessing or using Imgician at imgician.com (the “Service”), you agree to these Terms of Use. If you don’t agree, please don’t use the Service.
The Service
Imgician provides free web-based tools to compress, resize, convert, crop, rotate, flip, watermark, and remove image backgrounds, including related presets and guides. Tools are intended to run in your browser. Features may change, improve, or be discontinued at any time.
Eligibility & acceptable use
You agree to use Imgician only for lawful purposes. You must not:
- Upload or process images you don’t have the right to use
- Use the Service to violate others’ privacy, intellectual property, or publicity rights
- Attempt to disrupt, reverse engineer, or abuse the site, its infrastructure, or other users
- Use automated scraping or bulk abuse that harms availability of the Service
- Misrepresent that Imgician endorses your content, product, or organization
Your content
You keep all rights to images you process. Because processing is designed to happen in your browser, you are responsible for the files you select, the results you download, and how you use them (including form uploads and publications).
You represent that you have all rights needed to process those images and that doing so does not violate applicable law.
No account required
Most tools work without an account. If we later add optional accounts or paid features, additional terms may apply.
Free use
Unless we say otherwise, Imgician’s current tools may be used free of charge for personal and commercial projects, subject to these Terms. We may introduce limits, branding, or paid tiers later; we’ll communicate material changes clearly.
“As is” disclaimer
The Service is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, express or implied — including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy of output dimensions or file sizes, or uninterrupted availability.
Image compression and resize involve tradeoffs. Always verify that downloaded files meet your form, print, or platform requirements before submitting or publishing them.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Imgician and its operators are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost data, profits, or business opportunities arising from your use of the Service.
Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service will not exceed the greater of (a) the amount you paid us for the Service in the 12 months before the claim (currently often zero for free tools) or (b) USD $50.
Third-party links & services
The site may link to third-party sites or use third-party services (for example hosting or form handling). We’re not responsible for their content, terms, or privacy practices.
Intellectual property
The Imgician name, logo, Ziggy mascot, site design, and original copy are protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may not copy or reuse our branding or site assets without permission, except for fair use or as allowed by law.
Privacy
Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle personal information and browser-side image processing. Using the Service also means you acknowledge that policy.
Changes
We may update these Terms from time to time. The “Last updated” date shows the latest version. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of India, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, unless mandatory local consumer protections in your country require otherwise. Courts in India shall have exclusive jurisdiction over disputes, subject to those mandatory protections.
