About Imgician PDF tools

A small, private PDF toolkit

Imgician’s PDF tools run the same way as the image tools: entirely in your browser, powered by pdf-lib. There’s no upload step, no account, and no server ever sees your documents — so contracts, ID scans, and statements stay on your device from start to finish.

  • Compress a PDF toward a target size — great for scanned or photo-heavy documents.
  • Merge multiple PDFs into one, in any order you choose.
  • Split a PDF into individual pages, or extract a specific range.
  • Convert every page to a JPG or PNG image, or reorder/rotate/delete pages visually.
  • Need images turned into a PDF first? Use the image to PDF converter — or compress your photos before converting.

PDF FAQs

Merge & split PDF — FAQs

Common questions about Imgician’s free, private, browser-based PDF tools.

How do I merge PDF files for free?

Open Merge PDF, add two or more files, drag them into order with the arrows, then cast the spell. Your merged PDF downloads straight from the browser — nothing is uploaded.

Can I change the order of pages before merging?

Yes. Reorder whole files with the up/down arrows in the file list — files merge top-to-bottom into the final PDF.

Is there a limit to how many PDFs I can merge?

There’s no server-side cap since everything runs on your device. Very large or numerous files may just take longer, depending on your browser and computer.

Are my PDFs uploaded to a server?

No. Merge, split, and page extraction all run in your browser using pdf-lib — your documents are never uploaded to Imgician’s servers and we don’t store the files you process.

Is Imgician’s PDF toolkit free?

Yes. Merge PDF and Split PDF are free, with no signup, no watermark, and no page limit imposed by a server.

Can I also turn images into a PDF?

Yes — that lives with the image tools: use the image to PDF converter to turn one or more photos into a PDF, optionally compressed to a target KB.

Does merging or splitting reduce PDF quality?

No. Pages are copied as-is from the source PDF into the new file — nothing is re-rendered or re-compressed, so text and images keep their original quality.

Will this work with password-protected PDFs?

Encrypted or password-protected PDFs may fail to open. Remove the password in the app that created it first, then merge or split the unprotected file here.
