About this tool
PDF to PNG
PDF to PNG renders every page of your PDF as a lossless PNG image, in your browser. A single-page PDF downloads as one PNG; multi-page PDFs download as a ZIP with one PNG per page — ideal when you need sharp text or transparency-safe edges.
- One PNG per page — a ZIP for multi-page PDFs.
- Lossless — sharper than JPG for text-heavy pages.
- Runs entirely in your browser — no upload.
- Free, unlimited, no watermark.
How it works
- Drop in your PDF file.
- Press “Cast the Spell” to render every page.
- Download the PNG (or ZIP of PNGs for multi-page files).
FAQs
PDF questions, answered
Straight answers about merging, splitting, and keeping your documents private.
How do I convert a PDF to PNG?
Open PDF to PNG, drop your PDF, then cast the spell. Each page renders as a PNG — a single-page PDF downloads one image, multi-page PDFs download a ZIP.
Can I convert just one page of a PDF?
Use Extract PDF pages first to pull out the page you want, then convert that single-page PDF to PNG here.
Is converting a PDF to an image private?
Yes. Pages are rendered to images entirely in your browser using pdf.js — your PDF is never uploaded.
Are my PDFs uploaded to a server?
No. Merge, split, and page extraction all run in your browser using pdf-lib — your documents are never uploaded to Imgician’s servers and we don’t store the files you process.
Is Imgician’s PDF toolkit free?
Can I also turn images into a PDF?
Yes — that lives with the image tools: use the image to PDF converter to turn one or more photos into a PDF, optionally compressed to a target KB.
Does merging or splitting reduce PDF quality?
No. Pages are copied as-is from the source PDF into the new file — nothing is re-rendered or re-compressed, so text and images keep their original quality.
Will this work with password-protected PDFs?
Encrypted or password-protected PDFs may fail to open. Remove the password in the app that created it first, then merge or split the unprotected file here.
